What happens in a lesson?
During an Alexander Technique class, the teacher uses light touch combined with verbal instructions. Through simple movements such as sitting down and standing up from a chair (something we often do in daily life), the teacher helps you recognize and break ingrained (and unfavorable) movement patterns. Working on the table is also part of the class. In a reclining position on the table, it is easier to release unconscious tension. We also look at how you can apply the Alexander Technique in your own field of work, such as computer work, playing a musical instrument, singing, sports, or other activities.
How many lessons do I need?
I invite you to a free trial lesson to see if my approach suits you. Should you wish to continue afterwards, you will 10 lessons can provide a good start to the basic principles of the technique. For people with complaints, this can already yield noticeable and lasting results. It is advisable not to leave too much time between lessons, but preferably to schedule them weekly. Continuity benefits the learning process. You can choose individual lessons or a package of 10 lessons.
